About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled AI Engineer to contribute to both hands-on development and strategic innovation. You’ll play a key role in research-driven implementation, solution design, and full lifecycle AI model deployment. Reporting into senior technical leadership, you'll help shape the future of the organisation’s AI capability.

Key Responsibilities

AI Model Development : Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and generative AI models, with a focus on semi-supervised learning and open-set recognition.

Cross-Functional Integration : Collaborate with business units to ensure AI solutions align with strategic objectives.

Research & Prototyping : Lead and contribute to real-time AI application research and prototyping in complex domains.

Lifecycle Ownership : Oversee AI development from data ingestion through to deployment, monitoring, and performance optimisation.

Architecture & Strategy : Contribute to high-level platform architecture and AI strategy.

Knowledge Sharing : Document processes, share insights, and contribute to internal technical education.

Ethical AI Compliance : Ensure solutions adhere to responsible AI standards and legal frameworks.

Skills & Experience

Must-Have :

PhD, Master’s, or Honours degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field

3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI / ML solutions

Proficiency in Python, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn

Strong knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, and data science

Experience in deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred :

Experience in smart grid systems, automation, or data-intensive domains

Background in AI research or academic publishing

Contributions to open-source AI projects or community initiatives

Familiarity with AI governance and compliance
