Senior Knowledge & Communications Analyst

Duration : As soon as possible– 30 November 2025 with the possibility of extension until August 31, 2026.

Location : Johannesburg preferred, with 1 paid trip to Abu Dhabi, if possible

About the Role

Positive Deviance is seeking a Senior Knowledge & Communications Analyst to support the CEO in developing a high-level communications framework and tools to strengthen advocacy and stakeholder engagement for one of our clients. The consultant will shape strategic communications, develop a quarterly newsletter strategy, implement one quarterly newsletter and support with content calendar development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communications strategy : Develop a draft and final high-level communications strategy which includes aims, objectives, stakeholder mapping, channels, governance, monitoring.
  • Messaging house : Build a bilingual messaging house in English and Arabic (translation support will be provided).
  • Newsletter : Develop a newsletter strategy including various options for newsletter development, set up a newsletter database of contents, source and draft content for the inaugural newsletter (launching end November 2025).
  • Comms support : Provide further communications and knowledge translation support, as needed.

Profile & Requirements

  • 7–10 years in communications / public affairs / agency.
  • Proven communications strategy and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Knowledge gathering and synthesis.
  • Canva proficiency; Adobe Illustrator (preferred).
  • Excellent English writing / editing; Arabic an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the global Early Childhood Development (ECD) sector (preferred).
  • Experience working with Gulf clients.
  • Highly organised, collaborative, deadline-driven.
  • Duration : As soon as possible– 30 Nov 2025, with the possibility of extension until August 31, 2026.
  • Location : Remote, with one short trip to Abu Dhabi during the engagement.
