Senior Accountant PA(SA)

Were looking for a Senior Accountant who isnt just good with numbers but passionate about turning them into meaningful business insights. If Excel is your second language and you dream in debits and credits this could be the perfect next step.

You will be responsible for the full financial function of a dynamic multi-entity group with both local and international operations. Your role will be critical in ensuring accurate reporting tax compliance and the financial integrity of the organisation.

Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs

Performing monthly group consolidations across local and international entities

Managing the general ledger processing accurate journal entries and performing monthly reconciliations

Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register

Completion and submission of all SARS statutory returns including VAT201 EMP201 EMP501 IRP5 and IT14

Ensuring full compliance with income tax VAT payroll taxes and other statutory regulations

Managing full payroll processing across entities using SimplePay or equivalent

Ensuring timeous submission of EMP201 / 501 reconciliations and IRP5 certificates

Preparing cash flow forecasts and monitoring liquidity across bank accounts

Supporting the annual budgeting process and conducting variance analysis

Capturing and processing supplier payments and managing cash disbursements

Designing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Assisting with year-end audits and ensuring audit readiness

Responding to ad-hoc financial and operational queries from management

Providing insight and recommendations for process improvements and cost controls

Skills and experience required :

Registered Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA in good standing

Minimum 2 years post-designation experience

At least 5 years experience in a full-function accounting role

Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs Income Tax Act VAT Act Companies Act and payroll legislation

Experience in multi-entity and group reporting environments

Proficiency in Xero and Caseware; experience with SimplePay is advantageous

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas lookups and pivot tables

High attention to detail and strong ethical standards

Ability to work independently manage deadlines and solve complex problems

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications :

BCom in Accounting or Financial Accounting (Honours is advantageous)

SAIPA Membership as a Professional Accountant (SA
