MECHANISED SHIFT SUPERVISOR SMS Mining is a fast-growing innovative and progressive Company in the Mining spectrum. We are looking for a dynamic / energetic person to join our Lydenburg team. Mechanised Shift Supervisor Ref No. DBSS / 07 / 23 Minimum Requirements : Grade 12 / NQF 4 equivalent; Competent B certificate – Underground Hard Rock Operations; Advantageous Mine Overseer Certificate of Competence; Shift Supervisor and Blasting Certificate of Competency; At least 5 years practical experience in a Platinum Trackless Board and Pillar Underground Mining Environment as a Shift Supervisor and 3 years practical experience as a Mine Overseer will be advantageous; Has mined with high profile drill rigs and bolters; Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness to work underground; Valid First Aid certificate; Good track record of safety and production within a TMM environment; Good communication skills; Must be willing to relocate. Responsibilities : Effective daily planning, organising and control within area of responsibility to achieve daily production, quality and safety targets; Management of materials, consumables and explosives within tolerances for total section; Accurate, timely, thorough reporting in line with the DMR, SMS Mining and client requirements; Manage team performance and ensure a competent, motivated and positive team; Compliance with SHEQ, SMS mining and client standards, policies and procedures; Team and self understand and comply with SMS Mining and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols; Ensure cost containment in section; Monthly planning and measuring of total section; Effective team and self- management and alignment with SMS Mining values and leadership initiatives.
