Our client is looking for a qualified Millwright to support the maintenance and efficiency of their high-performance production environment within the animal nutrition and feed manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring mechanical reliability and minimal downtime across the plant’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical production equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and execute timely repairs to maintain continuous production
- Install, maintain and upgrade machinery and automation systems as required
- Conduct routine inspections and report on equipment performance and potential risks
- Assist with optimisation of manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company protocols
- Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Collaborate with production and technical teams to resolve mechanical issues effectively
Key Skills
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilityProficient in working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systemsAbility to interpret technical drawings and equipment manualsExcellent problem-solving and analytical thinkingStrong time management and ability to work independently or as part of a teamAttention to detail with a proactive approach to preventative maintenanceMinimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the feed or FMCG industryKnowledge of animal feed or agricultural production systems is an advantageQualifications
