Primary purpose of the job :
Ensure effective planning and execution of all preventative and corrective maintenance activities.Key Performance Areas :
Analyse captured data and generated reports and graphs as required by managementCreate maintenance schedules and generate work ordersMaintain parts inventory and critical spare parts identificationCreate maintenance report (Downtime analysis, energy savings, oil consumption, compressor hours)Update maintenance file and server documentationUpdate legal documentations (parallelism, cranes, forklifts, oil samples, IR scanning, COCs)Create procedural manuals that explain how to do certain tasksEstimate costs of labour and parts for industrial equipmentAdjust schedules to account for emergency workAssist and support GL & maintenance manager with reportsServe as a liaison between maintenance and operationsMaintain records and files essential to maintenance management (Legal compliance files)Knowledge of Asset management, Inventory control, Procurement & PurchasingCoordinate with maintenance stuff, contractors, and external vendorsPrepare preventative maintenance plans that are aligned with the organisation’s maintenance goalsBasic understanding of OPEX and CAPEX budgetRecord and update skills matrix and Radar Chart files for Artisans Technicians and SpecialistGood understanding of OHS Act legal requirementsKnowledge and Skills required :
Technical concepts (i.e. mechanical hydraulic pneumatics and electric)Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Projects)Experience on CMMS i.e. SAP / Maximo / Uptime / Navision / PBI)Knowledge of the TPM (PM, CM, PredM)SHE Requirements (Compliance / Load test, Inspections)Understand & read technical manuals and drawingsPlanningOrganisingCommunicationProblem solvingSelf-drivenMinimum Requirements
NQF Level Grade 12N6 / Diploma / Degree in Maintenance / Management / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with maintenance or organisational planning backgroundMinimum 3 years’ experience in production / maintenance / planning ideally within automotive manufacturing environmentMinimum 3 years’ experience as Artisan / TechnicianExperience with CMM i.e. SAP / Maximo / Uptime / Power BIEngineering / Technical jobs
