Client Bookkeeper

Dynamic client accounting team operating in both the UK and SA, focused on building a strong team culture and making a positive impact are looking for a junior SAIPA qualified accountant for their Client Bookkeeper role. If you have a good base of monthly accounting for client, Xero experience and would like to join a dynamic and people-centric team, then we want to hear from you!

What you will be doing:

• Process invoices and expenses in Dext supplier details, nominal code, VAT flag, due date, track categories
• Complete bank reconciliations
• Set up supplier payments
• Request missing documentation from clients
• Handle general email client queries
• VAT returns
• Post journals for prepayments and accruals
• Calculate and adjust for deferred / accrued income
• Hold and run client meetings whether proposed changes to management accounts and generally keep abreast of what's going on with their business

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of a BComm degree / SAIPA articles and 1-2 years accounting firm experience sought
• VAT knowledge
• Experience using Xero and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Open to learning and a team-oriented attitude
