Senior Platform Engineer

Purpose of role

Our client is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help design, secure, and scale their infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, and Azure).

While Azure experience is preferred, this role values engineers who can think from first principles and apply their skills across platforms.

This is an opportunity to set technical direction and embed modern DevSecOps and “Platform as a Product” practices — enabling our engineering teams to move faster, safer, and with greater confidence.

Duties and responsibilities

• Designing, building, and operating secure and scalable cloud infrastructure in Cloud Providers (Azure Preferred)
• Leading key initiatives to embed “Secure by Design” and DevSecOps practices across our platform
• Driving automation and best practices in CI / CD pipelines using tools like GitLab or GitHub Actions
• Advocating for and implementing “shift left” security approaches throughout the development lifecycle
• Monitoring infrastructure health and performance using observability tools (e.g Datadog, ELK)
• Familiarity with security tools like Wiz.io and Acunetix
• Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to improve reliability, security, and delivery speed
• Coaching and mentoring other engineers; guiding architectural decisions and platform evolution
• Participating in an on-call rotation to support our infrastructure when needed
