Mid-Level / Senior UI / UX Designer (Figma Expert)

Location : Remote, Cape Town

Type : Full-Time

Salary : R45,000- R65,000 pm

Start Date : ASAP

The Role

We\'re looking for a talented Middleweight / Senior UI / UX Designer who lives and breathes Figma . You\'ll take the lead in designing clean, user-centric interfaces for both software applications and marketing websites . You\'ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and product owner,s to turn user needs into visually stunning and functionally sound digital experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype intuitive user interfaces for web-based software and mobile applications using Figma .
  • Create responsive website designs with a strong emphasis on UX best practices.
  • Develop and maintain design systems , component libraries, and style guides.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Conduct user research, testing , and analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Translate complex user journeys into clear wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes.
  • Present designs and user flows to internal stakeholders and clients with clarity and rationale.
  • Stay current with design trends, UI / UX tools, and techniques.

Requirements

  • 3-6+ years of proven experience in UI / UX design, ideally across both software and web projects.
  • Mastery of Figma including auto layout, components, prototyping, and team libraries.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles, user research, and accessibility .
  • Experience working with Agile / Scrum teams and development handoff tools like Zeplin or Figma Dev Mode.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing software UI and website designs (please include links).
  • Excellent communication skillsable to articulate design choices and accept feedback constructively.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Nice to Have)

  • Experience in HTML / CSS , Webflow, or design-to-code tools.
  • Knowledge of tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Notion, or Miro.
  • Familiarity with motion design and micro-interactions.
  • Experience designing for SaaS platforms or enterprise systems .
