LOCUM : JUNIOR SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION EDUCATOR

Kingsmead is an Independent, Christian day school situated in Melrose, Johannesburg, who provides an excellent, all‑rounded education to girls from Grade to Matric.

The school is seeking to employ an enthusiastic, innovative, and qualified teacher who is eager to contribute to its dynamic sports department.

Kingsmead attracts a diverse group of students, including those who aim to excel in various sports, thrive in a competitive environment, and participate in premier festivals and leagues, as well as those who enjoy social sports and seek to develop a healthy lifestyle.

The Sports department strives to ensure that every student reaches their potential and develops life skills learned through sports, such as respect, teamwork, work ethic, and commitment, while also supporting each student's long‑term athletic growth.

LOCUM TERM

The successful applicant must meet the following criteria :

• An appropriate Bachelor's Degree / Diploma and ideally a PGCE.
• Must have a current SACE accreditation.
• A proven track record as an educator with a love of teaching Physical Education.
• Knowledge of the physical and emotional development of young children.
• A dynamic, vibrant, and energetic person with a passion for the social and emotional well‑being of girls.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
• Experience with collaborating with all stakeholders, including parents, staff, students, therapists, and neighbouring schools, keen to be part of the Kingsmead community.
• Being able to specialise in one or a combination of hockey, netball and soccer would be advantageous.
• The ability to engage with the ethos and spirit of Kingsmead and understand the importance of belonging and inclusion in a school environment.
