Overview

URGENT HIRE : TECHNICAL PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (Alberton)

Industry : Seals, Liners & Wads

Availability : IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED

A well-established manufacturing company based in Alberton is urgently seeking a Technical Production Supervisor with proven experience in the Seals, Liners, and Wads industry. This is a hands-on, dual-function role combining production supervision with technical / mechanical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Production Supervision
Supervise, guide, and allocate tasks to production staff
Monitor production quality and output
Implement process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
Report inefficiencies to the Production Controller or Planner
Stand in for the Workshop Supervisor when required
Participate in training staff, setting and operating machines
Technical & Mechanical
Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on machinery
Install and commission new equipment
Troubleshoot and inspect mechanical issues
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
Replace or repair damaged / worn parts
Collaborate on complex issues with technical team
Ensure machinery safety standards are upheld
Design new tooling in CAD when required
Identify and report potential or actual machinery-related quality concerns

Qualifications

Must be immediately available

Previous experience in Seals, Liners & Wads manufacturing

Strong mechanical and production background

CAD experience for tooling design is an advantage

Ability to supervise, install, maintain, and repair production machinery
