Web Designer and Developer

Role Overview

MRI are seeking a talented Web Designer & Developer to design, build, and maintain engaging, user‑friendly experiences that reflect our brand identity and deliver a seamless user experience. This hybrid role combines creativity and technical expertise—ideal for someone who can translate business goals into visually appealing, functional, and high‑performing web solutions.

We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Johannesburg or Cape Town office. The role will align with the UK working hours.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Design & build, update, and deploy marketing web pages, landing pages, campaign microsites, and other digital assets (front‑end work)
• Work closely with marketing stakeholders to collect requirements, review designs or wireframes, and translate them into technical deliverables
• Ensure web assets are optimised for performance, responsive across devices, and meet accessibility standards
• Maintain and update content via our CMS; troubleshoot minor bugs or issues as they arise
• Assist with integrating tracking / analytics and third‑party tools (forms, APIs, etc.) as needed for campaign measurement
• Support localisation or regional customisation efforts when required
• Manage multiple tasks / projects, balance priority requests from different teams, and meet deadlines without compromising quality
• Keep up with web development best practices, new tools, trends, and share ideas to improve our processes
• Optimise web pages and sections of the website for SEO and GEO
