Full Stack Engineer

60 Degrees City of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

MISSION : WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

Their product is responsible for key functions that directly impact the onboarding and configuration experience for merchants : onboarding, user management, merchant configuration and sandbox setup.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up new merchants, connections, and payment methods, ensuring a seamless start.
Oversee and manage the dashboard design and general operation.
Deliver a secure and intuitive login experience for merchant dashboards.
Customize and edit merchant business and account settings.
Handle access controls and user roles for merchants and users.
Provide merchants with detailed transaction listings for tracking and analysis.
Track user activity for security and auditing.
Support the internal dashboard that enables users to complete daily tasks.

TECH STACK

Languages : Typescript, Node.js, React.

Tools : Jira, Confluence, Git.

CI / CD & Automation : GitLab Pipelines.

Experience building new features and enhancing existing ones.

Design, build, and integrate technical requirements across the product portfolio.

Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant payment processing.

Effective troubleshooting and debugging of issues.

Independently diagnose and propose solutions using logs, monitoring, and code analysis.

COMPETENCIES : WHAT YOU BRING

Technical Expertise

5+ years of cloud‑based backend engineering experience.

Strong experience with Node.js, Typescript, and React.

AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, Serverless).

Database experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Problem‑Solving & Ownership

Design elegant, scalable solutions for new features.

Iteratively maintain and evolve existing features to meet best practices.

Take initiative, own projects end‑to‑end, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Work well in a fully remote team with strong written and verbal communication in English.

Comfortable collaborating cross‑functionally with product, operations, and external partners.
