- We’re seeking a dynamic Digital Creative Copywriter to join our team to craft compelling and engaging messaging and narratives that resonate with the Ackermans customer, align with the brand and take digital channel and platform considerations into account.
- The copywriter will collaborate closely with relevant marketing team members to ensure, consistent, effective and impactful brand messaging is executed in a way that drives brand affinity, customer engagement and loyalty across multiple customer touchpoints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Compelling Marketing Content :
Develop creative, engaging, and persuasive copy for campaigns that resonate with the Ackermans customerMaintain Brand
Ensure consistency in brand tone and messaging across all marketing material and customer touchpointsCollaborate with Marketing team to ensure brand messaging is cohesive and effectiveEnsure all copy is grammatically correct, error-free and on brandSegmentation and Personalization :
Collaborate with Marketing team to segment the customer database effectively and personalize marketing content based on the Ackermans customer preferences for maximum impact.Optimization
Analyze and optimize marketing content and strategies based on customer engagement / feedbackKeep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour to inform marketing content and messagingJOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Knowledge :
Knowledge of the retail / fashion industry is a strong advantageKnowledge of conversion focused content, sales funnels and consumer psychology.Understanding of direct marketing principles, digital advertising and content performanceSkills :
Excellent copywriting and writing skills with the ability to craft impactful and distinctive brand narratives.A meticulous eye for detail, grammar and proofreading skills ensuring brand consistency and quality in all materials and outputAbility to write in a clear, engaging and persuasive style that aligns with brand positioning and tone-of-voice.Advanced written and verbal communication skills – strong storytelling abilityA good command of the English languageCreative thinking and ability to generate ideas for campaigns that drive engagement and conversionProficient in MS-Office SuiteExcellent planning and time management skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong multi-tasking skills (ability to work on more than one brief)Solutions and deadline-drivenWrite, proofread and edit accurate, concise and highly readable contentGenerate creative ideas, coupled with sound editorial judgementBe resilient and work well in a fast-paced dynamic environmentBe proactive and show initiativeWork effectively independently as well as part of a teamQUALIFICATIONS :
A Grade 12 Certificate / MatricBachelor’s degree / diploma in copywriting, journalism, marketing, communications or a related fieldEXPERIENCE :
3-5 years’ proven experience working as a copywriter across a range of digital communication platforms.Proven track record of crafting and executing compelling and impactful messaging with a customer-centric approachExperience working in a marketing or advertising agency environment.Preferred :
Experience within the retail / fashion industry preferred1+ years of experience actively involved in the brand messaging for a large consumer or business facing brandMedia / Advertising / Branding jobs
