This insurer is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant with either SAIPA or SAICA articles to join a growing team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

• Lead the consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
• Collaborate with finance teams across various departments to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making at the executive level.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Evaluate and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
