Initiates, plans, co-ordinates, motivates and supervises the operational activities of the depot.Minimum Requirements
Matric with a tertiary qualification in Logistics / Transportation / Engineering / Agriculture or any related fieldMust be computer literate with good working knowledge of Word and Excel packageProven experience in the Agricultural industry, in particular – sugar cane will be advantageousKnowledge of Road Traffic LegislationGood understanding of Labour Relations legislation and proceduresMust have excellent customer service skillsDuties & Responsibilities
Ensure that the business meets the set KPI's as per client Service Level Agreement (SLA)Effectively manage client relationsMaximise vehicle utilisationWork closely with the Operations Manager and other members of the team to ensure the smooth execution and administration of contractsManage and control the budgeting process, revenue and costs as per the relevant company proceduresEnsure that the customer receives efficient, timeous deliveries of the productManage vehicle operations, vehicle maintenance and meet set production requirementsMonitor and manage workplace discipline and employee relationsImplement, manage and monitor group SHEQ strategySubmit reports as requiredAnalyse factors impacting turnaround times in order to optimize the operationEnsure optimal allocations of vehicles and staffClosing Date
