Assistant Repairman - Aqua

Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a maritime setting Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance techniques Familiarity with hand and power tools Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Physically fit and able to work in a variety of weather conditions Willingness to work long hours and be on call as needed
Responsibilities :
- Assist the Repairman with repairing and maintaining all equipment and machinery onboard the cruise ship
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating, cleaning, and adjusting machinery
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on board
- Communicate effectively with the Repairman and other crew members to ensure efficient operation of equipment
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
- Keep work area clean and organized
