The Role : Site Agent / Construction Manager

This role is responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of civil construction projects, from planning and execution through to completion. The Site Agent / Construction Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily site operations and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards

Plan and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment

Manage subcontractors and site teams to meet project milestones

Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, addressing risks proactively

Ensure adherence to quality control and industry standards (SANS 1200 / GCC)

Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and reporting

Implement project management systems and maintain accurate documentation

About You

Minimum of 5 years experience in construction management on civil projects

BEng / BSc / BTech / ND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Professional registration with ECSA or SACPCMP (preferred)

Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and contracts (pipelines, earthworks, roads, concrete works)

Proficient in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project)

Excellent leadership and communication skills in both English and Afrikaans

Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites

Organized, detail-driven, and results-oriented with a proactive mindset
