Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Data Management Specialist, located in the Johannesburg with some remote work flexibility. The Data Management Specialist will manage and oversee data governance frameworks, ensure data quality practices, and implement master data management strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating data accuracy, developing data management procedures, analyzing data trends, and supporting stakeholders with actionable insights derived from data. Collaboration with internal teams to uphold best practices and compliance will also be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Databricks expert with 5-years plus experience
• Proficiency in Data Governance and Master Data Management practices
• Strong skills in Data Quality and Data Management frameworks
• Solid Analytical Skills for interpreting and generating insights from data
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and present data findings clearly
• Experience in implementing data management systems and tools is advantageous
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience in a hybrid work setting or familiarity with remote collaboration tools is a plus
