DTP Operator / Pre-Press / Graphic Design

Key Requirements :

Matric (Grade 12) essential

Diploma or Certificate in Graphic Design / DTP / Print Production

Minimum 3 years experience in a pre-press or DTP environment

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

Strong understanding of print production, impositions, and colour management

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under pressure

Experience with digital, litho , and large-format printing

Core Duties and Responsibilities :

Prepare and pre-flight artwork for printing

Create layouts, impose jobs, and prepare print-ready files

Handle design adjustments, colour corrections, and proofing

Liaise with production to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met

Maintain organised file structures and backup systems

Assist in troubleshooting artwork and print issues

Knowledge of Pro-Man or other print management systems

Familiarity with RIP software (Fiery, Caldera, Onyx, etc.)

Experience with materials, substrates, and finishing techniques
