Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Financial Planning :
- Develop and implement long-term financial plans in alignment with the school's strategic goals.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making at all school governance levels.
2. Budget Management :
Oversee the preparation and management of the annual budget.Prepare & present quarterly management accounts to the School Governing Body (SGB).3. Fundraising :
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to support school programs and initiatives.Cultivate relationships with sponsors, foundations, and other stakeholders to enhance fundraisingefforts.
4. Investment Policies :
Establish and guide investment strategy in accordance with the schools financial objectives.Manage and optimize the schools investment portfolio and allocate funds effectively.5. Financial Reporting & Compliance :
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with the Schools Act & WCED Regulations.Maintain robust internal controls and conduct risk assessments.6. Collaboration :
Collaborate closely with the Headmaster, Board of Trustees, and other staff to drive financial and operational success.Act as a financial advisor on key organizational and managerial decisions.Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Accounting, CA(SA) qualification will be beneficial.Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.Proven track record in strategic planning, fundraising, and investment management.Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
