ROLE OVERVIEW
The Financial Manager is responsible for leading and strengthening the financial management function by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, effective budgeting and forecasting, robust internal controls, and well-structured systems and procedures.
With a strong existing accounting team in place, the Financial Manager’s focus will be on management, oversight, analysis, systems, and strategy. The incumbent will work closely with the Directors to professionalise financial operations, improve management information, and support the business through its next phase of growth.
KEY OBJECTIVES
- Establish strong financial governance, controls, and management information systems.
- Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting to support decision-making.
- Lead and mentor the finance department and develop its people.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of IQ Retail across all branches.
- Build a structured financial framework to enable sustainable business growth.
- Provide strategic financial input and advice to management and directors.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldProfessional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA) is strongly preferred.Minimum 8 years’ relevant financial management experienceExposure to multi-entity / retail / distribution environments advantageousStrong experience managing finance teams and implementing systemsDemonstrable expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisAdvanced Excel and system reporting proficiencyKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
