Job descriptionCompile six-weekly progress reports for clients. Prepare final 12 / 15-week reports and assessment records. Ensure proper distribution and filing of reports. Participate in disciplinary enquiries as required. Process internal requisitions. Provide consulting services when authorised. Generate reports and feedback as needed. Ensure compliance with valid travel documentation and travel policy. Assist with on-site maintenance when required. Accept OHS appointments where applicable. Maintain health and safety standards in training areas. Recognised Trade Qualification : Fitter & Turner. Assessor certification is advantageous. 8 to 10 years relevant experience in the Fitter & Turner trade. Assessor and / or Moderator certification is advantageous. Patience and a learner-focused approach. Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses in learners. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Teamwork and collaboration.

Primary Purpose
We are seeking an Education, Training and Development Practitioner (ETDP) Fitter & Turner to ensure that learners and artisans are effectively trained, and that all training meets required standards.
Key Performance Areas
1. Training Learners / Apprentices
- Induct learners and artisans prior to training.
- Conduct trainability and trade test readiness assessments.
- Facilitate both theoretical and practical training.
- Prepare learners for trade tests within specified time frames.
- Provide feedback to clients and gather input on training needs.
- Conduct final learner assessments.
