Maintenance Planner – Berlin, East London (Shift Work)
We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Planner at a leading industrial plant in Berlin, East London. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to ensure the efficient planning and execution of all preventative and corrective maintenance activities in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyse maintenance data and generate management reports and graphs.
- Develop maintenance schedules and create work orders.
- Maintain parts inventory and identify critical spare parts.
- Prepare maintenance reports (downtime analysis, energy savings, oil consumption, compressor hours).
- Update maintenance files, server documentation, and legal compliance records.
- Draft procedural manuals to guide maintenance tasks.
- Estimate labour and parts costs for industrial equipment.
- Adjust schedules to accommodate emergency maintenance work.
- Support the GL & Maintenance Manager with reporting.
- Act as a liaison between maintenance teams and operations.
- Ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements (OHS, cranes, forklifts, oil samples, IR scanning, COCs).
- Coordinate with artisans, contractors, and external vendors.
- Develop preventative maintenance plans aligned with organisational goals.
- Maintain and update skills matrices and radar charts for technicians and specialists.
Knowledge & Skills Required :
Strong technical understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).Experience with CMMS software (SAP, Maximo, Uptime, Navision, Power BI).Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles – PM, CM, Predictive Maintenance.Understanding of SHE compliance, inspections, and load tests.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.Strong planning, organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.Self‑motivated with a proactive approach.Minimum Requirements :
NQF Level 12 (Matric).N6 Diploma or Degree in Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or relevant Management field.Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance planning within a production or automotive manufacturing environment.Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on experience as an artisan or technician.CMMS experience (SAP, Maximo, Uptime, Power BI).Understanding of OPEX and CAPEX budgets.#J-18808-Ljbffr
