Role Overview

We are seeking a Production and Quality Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day manufacturing operations and ensure consistent product quality across all cementitious and adhesive lines. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a strong focus on continuous improvement to maintain production efficiency and compliance with ISO 9001 and SABS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring targets and delivery timelines are met.
• Manage batching, blending, and packaging of tile adhesives, grouts, and related cementitious products.
• Plan raw material usage and ensure optimal stock levels in collaboration with procurement.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards (SHEQ) across the production floor.
• Implement and maintain ISO 9001 : 2015 and SABS quality standards in all manufacturing processes.
• Conduct in‑process and final product inspections, sampling, and testing.
• Review batch records and maintain traceability of raw materials and finished products.
• Investigate and resolve non‑conformances, customer complaints, and quality deviations.
• Ensure calibration and upkeep of laboratory testing equipment.
• Continuously improve processes, drive innovation, and optimise formulations to enhance product performance, consistency, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Supervise, train, and motivate production and quality teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and performance evaluations.
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain daily production and quality reports for management review.
• Assist in internal and external audits (ISO, SABS, and customer audits).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects.
