You will lead client relationships, design investment strategies, guide asset allocation decisions, and mentor junior team members all while contributing to a consulting model built for the future.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead advisory relationships across pension funds, insurers, and institutional clients.
- Develop and implement tailored investment strategies aligned with client objectives.
- Present market insights, performance results, and recommendations at Board and Committee meetings.
- Draft and maintain investment policy statements and governance documentation.
- Conduct ALM (asset-liability modelling), strategic asset allocation and multi-asset research.
- Perform manager research and due diligence across local and global asset classes.
- Analyse portfolio performance using attribution, risk analytics, and benchmarking.
- Coordinate rebalancing, transitions, and cash flow management activities.
- Monitor investment risk, governance adherence and mandate compliance.
- Mentor Junior Consultants and review technical output.
- Collaborate with research, reporting and systems teams to enhance service delivery.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders, RFPs and new business development.
Job Experience and Skills Required :
Education (Minimum requirement) :Honours Degree in Actuarial Science, Investment Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience :510 years of experience in investment consulting or institutional asset management.
Strong experience in manager selection, strategy formulation, and portfolio advisory.Exposure to ALM, investment modelling, or risk frameworks advantageous.Skills (Technical & systems) :Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of Python, R, or Power BI (advantageous).Strong analytical and quantitative ability.Understanding of Regulation 28, SAM, and other investment governance frameworks.Experience with performance measurement, portfolio construction, or ESG integration is beneficial.Other Non-negotiables :Excellent communication skills able to present to Boards and Committees with confidence.
