Job descriptionMatric (Grade 12) and BTech / NDip in Civil Engineering 15+ years of experience in cost estimating for medium to large civil projects Advanced proficiency in CCS Candy & MS Office Knowledge of SABS 1200 & COLTO standards Professional registration (SACPCMP / ECSA) advantageous Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities High attention to accuracy and detail Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation Excellent communication and organizational skills Capable of handling multiple priorities under pressure Independent yet collaborative team player Flexible and able to adapt in a dynamic environment
Main Duties :
- Study and interpret drawings, designs, and specifications
- Compile precise estimates for labour, materials, and equipment
- Visit sites to collect information and evaluate feasibility
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and project leaders
- Identify potential risks and highlight cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare tenders and proposals using CCS Candy
- Assess subcontractor quotes and support contract negotiations
- Track and update costs throughout project lifecycles
