Maths Teacher - SEMH Provision

Location : Newcastle Upon Tyne

Start Date : ASAP

Contract Type : Full-time Rolling contract (potential for temp to perm)

Hours : Monday to Friday 8 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Teacher to join a thriving SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health) Provision in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics education to students with diverse needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons tailored to SEMH students
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing regular feedback
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student support
  • Maintain a positive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Contribute to the overall development of the SEMH provision

Requirements :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
  • Understanding of SEMH needs and appropriate interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience resilience and a passion for supporting vulnerable students
