Job description

Our Client in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ a Chartered Accountant to their team - based in Port Elizabeth.

Noted this is fixed term contract position of 4 - 6 months.

Requirements :

Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification (essential).
Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (preferred).
Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial ERP systems.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Exposure to a manufacturing or automotive environment (advantageous).
Willingness to collaborate across international teams and time zones.

Responsibilities, but not limited to :

Creditor Reconciliations : Assist in resolving long‑outstanding unreconciled items with both local and international vendors, with a specific focus on unvouched receipts (GRNI).

General Ledger Reconciliations : Support an investigation and clean‑up of various general ledger reconciliations.

Foreign Creditors : Support the foreign creditors team with the documentation of a new process and also be responsible for executing detailed work to review, correct, and align historical transactions with current requirements for managing foreign creditor transactions.

Audit preparation : Assist in preparation and execution of the year‑end audit requirements.
