The Role

The Managing Director will be responsible for driving the strategic, commercial, and operational direction of the organization. Reporting to the Board Chairman, the successful candidate will lead all aspects of the business, from origination and execution of complex deals to team leadership, risk management, and business development.

Our client is looking for someone with the strategic clarity and leadership maturity to shape the institution’s long‑term trajectory, while also delivering results in the near term.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the institution.
• Develop and execute a bold, market‑oriented growth strategy.
• Cultivate strong relationships with local, regional, and international business partners to drive deal origination.
• Lead the structuring and execution of corporate transactions, including M&A, capital raising, syndicated lending, and financial advisory.
• Expand the institution’s product offering to include a full suite of merchant banking services : Loan syndication, Portfolio and wealth management, and identify and serve emerging client segments, particularly high‑net‑worth individuals and growth‑stage companies.
• Drive a performance‑based culture with strong internal accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and maintain a robust risk framework.
• Represent the institution externally with credibility and influence.
