Main purpose of the job
The job purpose is to create leading procurement strategies, identify ways to meet procurement targets and to develop processes and procedures to make the organisation more efficient, considerably more cost effective and more valuable in the eyes of stakeholders and customers.
High level job objectives
- To support the business in procurement, guide decisions, manage procurement against business risks and monitor the department\'s performance to ensure a sustainable business
- To identify and introduce cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities in the business when solutions are searched in the market and acquire the best prices from suppliers through negotiations and price benchmarking.
- To measure the performance of suppliers and report accordingly
- To enable the use technology to simplify, automate, integrate, and measure all procurement processes in the business.
- To ensure the professional values, ethical behaviour, and legal compliance are demonstrated in the procurement practices
- To manage the Procurement function / component

Qualifications
Essential
A degree in Supply Chain Management or a related qualificationDesirable
A post graduate qualification in Business studies / Business ManagementMembership to CIPS or equivalent would be desirableExperience
