Job descriptionAssist the Chief Electrical Engineer in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems On Board Cruise Ship Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that may arise during the voyage Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures Train and supervise junior electrical engineers and crew members Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond to any emergency situations Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical engineering
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a 2nd Electrical Engineer
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and equipment
- Familiarity with international regulations and standards for marine electrical systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid STCW certification and other required maritime certifications
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
