Are you a seasoned business development professional with deep expertise in international executive search? We’re partnering with a prestigious UK-based search firm known for delivering exceptional leadership talent to global organisations. As they scale their footprint across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC, they are seeking a  Business Development Lead  to drive growth and shape client strategy across international markets.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a commercially astute leader who excels in building board-level relationships, creating bespoke talent solutions, and driving revenue through strategic partnerships. You'll be instrumental in expanding the firm's global client base, representing a trusted brand known for its rigorous search methodology and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development strategy across multiple international markets, identifying high-value opportunities within sectors such as Life Sciences, Industrial, and Supply Chain
  • Lead outreach to C-suite executives, senior HR leaders, and board-level stakeholders to pitch retained executive search services
  • Build, grow, and manage long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner
  • Design and deliver tailored search proposals aligned with complex business and talent needs
  • Represent the firm in high-stakes presentations, negotiations, and global industry conversations
  • Collaborate closely with internal research and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction
  • Maintain high-quality reporting on business development pipeline, metrics, and revenue targets
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic input to influence growth initiatives and positioning in key regions

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in senior-level business development within  executive search and  international recruitment
  • Demonstrable success in securing retained and exclusive mandates with global or multinational clients
  • Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence senior decision-makers
  • Strong understanding of executive hiring trends and challenges across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
  • Previous experience working in a high-trust, autonomous environment with clear accountability for commercial outcomes
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM platforms, and digital outreach tools
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strategic mindset and hands-on delivery capabilities
