SUMMARY : POSITION INFO :

Our client is looking for an astute Senior Estimator / QS who will be responsible for analysis, net

variance and ad-hoc activities aligned with the project implementation process. The

Senior Estimator / QS will be responsible for consulting with key stakeholders to formulate

project estimates, and to report at regular intervals in terms of cost effectiveness.

Key Performance Areas :

The Senior Estimator / QS will be reporting directly to the Cost Management Lead in

performing the assigned duties in terms of the project implementation process for site

rebranding.

Role and Responsibilities :

Preparation and estimates budget costs by evaluating plans and specifications
Assistance with preparation of budgets for bulk production
Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times, etc.
Working on final account for client
Review offers and quotes by subcontractors in relation to procurement
Prepare estimates for time, cost, materials, and labour to be used for purposes

such as planning, organizing and scheduling work

Assess cost effectiveness procurement detail as the project develops

Qualifications and Experience :

Relevant tertiary qualification (Construction studies / Quantity Surveying)

5+ years of relevant experience

Experience leading a team

Experience working in multidisciplinary teams

Project management experience and use of project management software

Ability to critically analyse project needs and issues, and report to team lead

Ability to liaise with key stakeholders on site
