We''re Hiring - Johannesburg - Registered Scrub Nurse

Our client is a modern and state-of-the-art facililty with a patient-centered approach. The facility is expanding and requires additional theatre staff early 2026. We are looking for a skilled and energetic REGISTERED SCRUB NURSE THEATRE to join our team in Johannesburg-North. Great work-life ballance offered with reasonable working hours.

KEY OUTPUTS

Delivers comprehensive and quality patient care.
Always adheres to Patients Rights.
Prevents, reports, and manages Medico-legal risks.
Patient records and registers meet legal requirements.
Control of stock and equipment.
Identifies and addresses continuous professional development (CPD)needs.
Provides support to new employees and learners.
Ensures a therapeutic and safe patient environment by maintaining health and safety standards, complies with infection prevention protocols.
Maintains the principles of Quality client care principles.

REQUIREMENTS

Current registration with SANC as a Registered / Professional Nurse.

Post basic qualificatioon in Operating Room Nursing Science would be an added advantage

Prior general scrubbing experience in the private sector is required.

Willingness to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the Unit.

Competent in the demonstration and assessment of all clinical procedures and management of risks.

Basic knowledge of stock control principles.

The ability to identify and report near-misses and adverse events.

Knowledge of clinical procedures, the scientific nursing process and Best Care Always bundles.

A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice and knowledge of patient care.

Be able to function as an effective member of the nursing team by facilitating team effectiveness.

Displays a concern for excellence by following work routines and standard while achieving results.

The ability to display sound judgment in problem-solving.
