About the Role

WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with an established financial services business to recruit a highly skilled and proactive Senior Systems Administrator. This is a hands-on, critical infrastructure role responsible for the security, reliability, and performance of all IT systems. If you are passionate about high-availability systems, cybersecurity, and enterprise-level support, this role offers both responsibility and room to grow.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimise all IT infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and servers
• Implement and manage robust cybersecurity frameworks including monitoring, patching, and user access controls
• Steer and support cloud migration (Azure) and ongoing hybrid infrastructure strategies
• Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery testing
• Provide user training and support documentation
• Manage telephony infrastructure, vendor relationships, and software licensing
• Lead performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and system improvements
• Collaborate with IT leadership to define and enforce operational and security policies
