RPO Recruitments client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Chrome Specialist Metallurgy in Gauteng. The successful candidate will assist the operations with site optimisation projects data analysis test work and RandD projects. They will also support the technical management of processing plants and ensure effective technical operation within the defined processing recipes and optimization of recipes.

Responsibilities :

• Mineral balances Metallurgical accounting;
• Reserve and resource reporting evaluation role;
• Support the Technical management of processing plants and ensure effective technical operation within the
• defined processing recipes and optimization of recipes;
• Assist with implementation of and maintaining technical standards and procedures in plant;
• Perform metallurgical test work and initiate technical projects in order to optimize plant performance;
• Lead and participate in some process design and commissioning activities as may be required;
• Assist with Production debottlenecking and troubleshooting and cost optimization;
• Conduct feasibility studies;
• Supervise and implement metallurgical test work optimising commissioning improvement project and RandD
• Projects;
• Analysis of metallurgical processes (trends);
• Coordinate input of benchmarking stats and compile combined report / Conduct investigations
• Compiles analyses and liaises the monthly quarterly and annual review of operations reports and presentation
• material;
• Conduct plant trails external test work and onsite optimisation initiatives;
Requirements :
• Grade 12;
• BTech Degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering;
• Post Graduate qualification might be advantageous;
• 710 years post qualification experience on chrome recovery plants (Specifically in Chrome Beneficiation);
• Knowledge and Experience of Metallurgy Production processes and flows;
• Metallurgy Processes;
• Chrome separation processes;
