Job description

Our client, a reputable dealership based in the Johannesburg North area, is seeking to appoint a Qualified Service Manager to lead their service department. The ideal candidate will be experienced, driven, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Matric is Essential
  • Relevant Automotive Technical Qualification – Essential (Trade Tested Motor Mechanic or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a Service Manager – Minimum 3–5 years
  • Experience with Ford vehicles and systems – Highly advantageous
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet performance targets and manage customer satisfaction
  • Computer literate (Kerridge / CDK, Automate or similar DMS experience preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean criminal record.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the daily operations of the service department
  • Manage a team of technicians and service advisors
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
  • Drive profitability and performance targets
  • Maintain compliance with manufacturer standards and company policies
  • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure resolution
  • Monitor service workflows, parts usage, and workshop productivity
  • Manage warranty claims and ensure accurate documentation
