TEAM LEADER – MAINTENANCE TEAM Location: Howick Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for a Team Leader – Maintenance to oversee and coordinate a maintenance team, ensuring that work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard. The successful candidate should have practical experience with electrical and solar installations, as well as experience leading or supervising a team. A formal electrician qualification is not required, but a good practical understanding of electrical and solar work is essential. Key Responsibilities - Lead, supervise and coordinate the maintenance team. - Plan and allocate daily maintenance tasks to team members. - Assist with and oversee electrical and solar installation and maintenance work. - Ensure work is completed correctly, efficiently and within required timeframes. - Conduct regular checks on completed work and maintain quality standards. - Identify maintenance issues and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving. - Ensure all tools, equipment and materials are available and properly maintained. - Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support where required. - Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements. - Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture within the team. - Complete relevant maintenance records, checklists and reports. - Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance requirements, progress and issues. Minimum Requirements - Previous experience in a maintenance, electrical or solar environment. - Practical knowledge of electrical and solar installations. - Previous team leadership or supervisory experience. - Strong understanding and awareness of workplace health and safety. - Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. - Good communication and organisational skills. - Valid driver's licence would be advantageous. - Must be locally based in Howick, Hilton or Pietermaritzburg.
