Exceed Human Resource ConsultantsSouth AfricaReference : MLR Consultant : Michellele Roux Job Description : Business Development : Serve as a business partner to the MD on the organization's financial, budgeting, and administrative processes.Support business development strategies with financial analysis and due diligence specifically related to Africa.Develop and implement cost saving initiatives and ensure the best use of company resources.Facilitate negotiations of commercial terms related to contracts for irrigation projects in Africa.Financial Management : Review and approve preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial reporting materials and metrics.Ensure Statutory Accounts are paid on time.Responsible personally for General Ledger and Financial Statements – Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany reconciliation.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advise management of actions and potential risks.Manage budget and control expenses effectively.Keep up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.Coordinate all audit activities.Oversee, along with Supply Chain Manager, the forecasting process.Drive and coordinate internal Annual Operating Plan.Manage and mentor staff in the finance department.Ensure employees in relevant departments are more efficient regarding administration systems through co-operative management.Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consult with Human Resources as appropriate.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree (CA preferred) in Accounting, Business, or Finance.8+ years relevant experience and 3+ years management experience.Excellent communication and people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary and diverse team.Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting.Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development.Experience with International Companies – as a preference.Technologically savvy, with an ability to point to examples of having worked with IT staff to develop and implement new processes and systems that increased efficiency.Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.Excellent fluency in written and spoken English.Good experience in working in a multicultural environment.Experience with ERP (SAP) systems.Experience in manufacturing companies.Experience in cross-border trading including tax regulations in African countries – as a preference.Ability to work under pressure and short deadlines.Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment.How to Apply : Email your comprehensive CV to
