Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning office for InfrastructureUtilise CMMS computer software and other computer applications to support the maintenance functionMake field inspections and determine appropriate job work scopesDevelop work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment and execution of maintenance workCreate, use and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays (all information must be captured on SAP)Perform purchasing duties as requiredStage materials and special tools as requiredEvaluate job feedback to improve future workKeep familiar with current safety, health, environmental rules and regulationsProvide technical assistance as required for maintenance personnelPrepare reports as requiredControl cost expenditure (SAP and PowerBI access)Substore control Inventory control (Spares, PPE, etc)Training & DevelopmentRequired to work overtime and standby dutyRe-co equipment inspections and follow-ups not handled by progress teamKnowledge of all CSS, infrastructure plants and responsible areasDrive overdue issues reporting from "weekly zones"MTR lead the weekly discussions with the teamsQualificationsNational Diploma (NQF 6 / 10) in Mechanical / Electrical / InstrumentationTrade Certificate : Mechanical / Electrical / InstrumentationExperience and RequirementsMinimum 5 years experienceComputer literate with application of SAP, Microsoft Office, MS Projects PIVOTKnowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment in the maintenance of a CasterKnowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignmentsAble to apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and appropriate solutions in swiftly developing job plansAble to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formAble to maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including operators, vendors, contractors, subordinates, peers and superiorsAble to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports and manualsAble to wear all PPE and execute all physical duties within the office as well as on the plantValid driver's licenseAble to function as a 'task initiator'Personal AttributesSafety consciousAble to work in a teamGood analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to work under pressureExposure to working at heights, dust, heat and gases
