The Junior Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting a range of accounting functions. This includes capturing and reconciling transactions, processing invoices and payments, assisting with VAT and payroll submissions, and supporting the preparation of reports and statements.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients using cloud-based systems (Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks)
- Capture and reconcile all financial transactions
- Process invoices, supplier payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations
- Process monthly payroll and ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, EMP201 & EMP501 submissions
- Assist with personal and company income tax submissions
- Assist with VAT submissions and general ledger maintenance
- Support the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
- Liaise professionally with clients and resolve queries promptly
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper record-keeping at all times
- Collaborate with team members on shared client accounts
- Uphold confidentiality and data integrity at all times

Qualification in Accounting or Finance (or currently studying towards one)23 years experience in bookkeeping (firm environment an advantage)Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks)Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, VAT, and payroll processesExcellent numerical, organizational, and administrative skillsRemuneration
R15 000 R18 000 monthly (depending on experience)
