The Clicks Group Services Legal Department is looking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of Legal Advisor I. This position will be based at our Head Office in Woodstock and will report to the Group Head of Legal.
Job Objectives
- To provide end-to-end support in the day-to-day commercial operations and assist in the achievement of strategic business objectives and mitigate legal and regulatory risk by drafting and vetting contracts and other commercial documents.
- To serve as the legal partner to various Clicks departments by providing legal advice, drafting and negotiating complex trade and support agreements with various supplier counterparties in order to realise the best commercial outcome for Clicks whilst ensuring that its risk is mitigated and managed within accepted level.
- To assist the organisation in realising strategic business objectives and mitigating legal and competition law and other regulatory risks by negotiating with counterparties on contracts and other commercial documents to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Providing input on legal strategies to internal stakeholders for significant matters impacting the organisation.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to obtain relevant information to determine how a legal or operational matter is handled.
- Supporting the use and management of the group’s contract drafting and contract management system.
- Developing efficiencies and processes within the Legal Department (including supporting the rollout and continued management of the contract management system and preparing standard operating procedures) and broadly within the organisation (by identifying work methods to facilitate the efficient and effective conclusion of agreements, negotiations and resolution of disputes with counterparties).
- Providing and facilitating training; and Providing trade and non-trade dispute resolution support.
Qualifications and Experience
