As we prepare to launch our website and expand operations, we’re seeking a Senior Mortgage Underwriter to join our founding team and help shape the foundation of our underwriting processes.

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned residential mortgage underwriter with deep knowledge of the Canadian lending landscape. This role involves evaluating mortgage applications across A, B, and private (C) lenders, and playing a key part in building our internal systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough residential mortgage underwriting in accordance with Canadian lending guidelines
• Review and assess borrower profiles, income documents, credit reports, and appraisals
• Work with a range of lenders, including banks, credit unions, and private lenders
• Help design and improve underwriting processes and operational workflows
• Provide input on internal tools and systems as we scale
• Maintain clear and organized documentation for all underwriting decisions
• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders to support decision-making
