This is a full-time remote role for a Bookkeeper at a US-based accounting firm. The bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the company's books, financial planning, financial reporting, record keeping, and more.
You will work directly with the executive team at a growing US-based company.
Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Complete tax forms
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable / payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
Requirements
5+ years experience as a bookkeeper or accountantSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable / receivable principlesProven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial recordsData entry skills along with a knack for numbersHands‑on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareProficient with QuickBooks, Xero, and other accounting and bookkeeping softwareExcellent organizational skillsProven track record of handling confidential informationAbility to work independently and remotelyTyping speed 50+ words per minuteAbility to work in US time zoneA clean and professional remote work environmentFast internet, a second monitor, and a fast computer$1,000 - $1,600 per month, paid in USD, depending on experience.
