Responsibilities
- Product installations, configuration and upgrades
- Hardware troubleshooting and fault finding
- Customer support query resolution
- Working knowledge of server backup methodologies
- Monitoring performance tuning for capacity management purposes
- Centralised backup and restore activities
- Liaising with Product Development personnel, for product enhancements and troubleshooting
Qualifications
3-5 years’ experience in Linux and Windows server environments, Linux being predominantSolid understanding of TCP / IP and DNSExperience with installation, configuration and maintenance of open source solutionsExperience with Office 365 / Exchange as well as with Azure / Windows Active DirectoryLinux (Ubuntu, Redhat, Oracle), Windows Server 2012 / 2016, Office 365, Active Directory, EximKubernetes, Docker support experienceThis will become a remote position for support in the USA. First 2 months for training puposes will happen in Claremont Cape Town, Month 3 onwards the employee will work USA hours remotely, possibly a few days per month in the Claremont Cape Town office.
