The Centurion-based team operates as a key engineering hub focused on the design and delivery of ITAR-free, Electro-Optical (EO) systems, used across land, naval, and airborne platforms throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on engineering role where the successful candidate will be involved in the design, testing, and integration of complex electronic subsystems. You will contribute to the full product development cycle, working alongside a cross-functional team of engineers in optics, mechanics, software, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom electronic hardware for EO systems, including analog and digital circuits.
- Assist in embedded system development using microcontrollers, FPGAs, or SoCs.
- Support prototyping, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system integration and testing.
- Produce clear and maintainable design documentation, schematics, and BOMs.
- Participate in R&D initiatives to explore and evaluate new technologies.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering (BEng or equivalent) Essential .03 years of relevant experience in electronics development (industry or academic).Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals.Experience or interest in embedded systems, firmware, microcontrollers, or FPGAs is a plus.Proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer, MATLAB, or circuit simulation tools is beneficial.Ability to work collaboratively in a technical, fast-paced environment.South African citizenship or valid work permit required.Why This Role?
