Job descriptionSustainable Schools, School Coordinator - Tokai, Cape Town Full job description Nature Connect’s EdTech programme, Sustainable Schools, is seeking a School Coordinator for the Sustainable Schools Programme, you will play a vital role in supporting our network of schools across South Africa, acting as a key account manager for registered Sustainable Schools. This role involves assisting teachers, virtually and in person, as they implement impactful environmental initiatives. You’ll manage a significant amount of administrative work, keeping school records meticulously organised and up-to-date, while also fostering strong relationships with schools and stakeholders. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, solutions-oriented individual comfortable with managing multiple accounts and dedicated to environmental education. This position reports to the Programme Implementation Coordinator, providing the support and resources needed to thrive in this role. Key Responsibilities Account Management and Administration Teacher Support and Guidance Training and Workshops Partner Engagement Event Planning Communication and Relationship Building About You Bachelor's degree in Education, Environmental Studies, Sustainable Development, or a related field. Proven experience in account management, digital communication, and customer engagement/support. Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with experience in maintaining accurate records and managing administrative tasks. Competency in basic troubleshooting, virtual facilitation, and event planning. Strong relationship-building skills with a client-focused approach. Familiarity with the South African education system. Valid driver’s license with at least two years of active driving experience, with a willingness to travel within South Africa. Additional Skills Proficiency in at least one additional South African language besides English. Ability to engage with digital literacy and data management, including data collection and reporting. Proficiency with project management principles, customer success practices, and CRM systems (e.g., Trello, Salesforce). Background in gamification, e-learning, or hybrid event coordination is advantageous. Location Tokai, Cape Town Position Type Two-year contract with the possibility of renewal. Ideal Start Date January 2025 Compensation and Benefits Salary: R16,000 - R20,000 per month. Benefits: 10 days of study leave per year.
