VACANT POSITION – BLOEMFONTEINJOB DESCRIPTION : Accounting ClerkAccounting practice in Bloemfontein is looking for an Accounting Clerk to hire.Responsibilities : Performing Accounting duties such as recording, posting and processing day-to-day financial transactions and performing related reconciliations.Calculate and reconcile VAT for clients as well as upload supporting audit documents.Recording of cash book, petty cash, reconciliation of bank accounts, collection of debtors and creditors / inventories.Prepare schedules for SARS income tax.General admin tasks in relation to the financial department.SARS Efiling knowledge is important.Calls to SARS to inquire about cases on behalf of clients.Bank reconciliations.Prepare monthly standard journals.Do monthly, quarterly and annual statistics.Ad hoc tasks.Minimum Requirements : Grade 12 with Accounting.Current studies in B or similar qualification will be beneficial.Previous Accountancy experience is a recommendation.Taxation : 2 to 3 years.General Experience : 2 to 3 years.VAT payment preparation : 2 to 3 years.Articles beneficial.Analytical, focused, and methodical.Skills : Good communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English – both languages mandatoryputer literate (MS Office).SAGE online accounting / Pastel experience.Excel experience.Numerical and accounting insight.Good interpersonal skills.Ability to meet deadlines.Highly detail-oriented and organized in work.Ability to show flexibility with changing priorities.Ability to take initiative and run with tasks on a month-to-month basis.Language skills – above average speaking, reading, and writing skills in Afrikaans and English are essential.
