Job Purpose
The Department of Local Government, Western Cape has an opportunity for a competent individual to render an administrative support service to the Directorate : Integrated Development Planning.Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).Recommendation
None.Key Performance Areas
Provide administrative support to integrated development planning with regard to administrative, financial, human resource management and communication needs;Provide administrative support to IDP support actions to municipalities on integrated development planning; Provide administrative support to the Director and middle managers regarding meetingsSupport middle managers with the administration; Studies the relevant public service and departmental prescripts / policies and other documents and ensures that the application thereof is understood.Competencies
Knowledge and understanding of the following :
Relevant legislation / policies / prescripts and procedures; Financial administration. Skills in the following : Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Ability to work independently and as part of a teamCommunication skills (written and verbal); Good telephone etiquette; Sound organisational skillsIt will be advantageous to have a valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.NB : People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.Remuneration
